Here are a few hints and tips on how to keep your lips looking luscious the summer!
Keep your teeth lipstick stain free, by inserting your first finger into your mouth, wrapping your lips around it and pulling it back out again. Leaving any residue on your finger and not on your teeth.
You can of course use your lipstick like a cream blusher, just remember to blend in with your fingers or a blending sponge.
Would you love your eyeshadow colour as a lipstick colour? Use the broken pieces off of your powder eyeshadow mix it gently with some balm and follow the easy steps below to have matching eyeshadow and lipstick!
If you use a concealer brush you can apply a more precision opaque look.
Or use a eyeshadow brush for a more stained or diffused look.
Lock in your colour by using a tissue and brushing some translucent poster over the top of your tissue. This will ensure longer lasting lipstick.
If you have lots of pink or red tones naturally in your lips it would be best to use a concealer and pat it gently over your lips as a base first. That way you will have the same even coverage of the lipstick of your choice.
Get yourself fuller looking lips by gently covering the edges of your lips with a concealer, then use the lipliner to redraw where you would like it to be giving you a fuller looking lip. Then fill in.
The correct way to blot your lipstick is to gently place the tissue between your lips and press down to remove any excess oils. Then reapply a second layer of lipstick ensure it has more of a grip and will not fade as quickly.
If you are going for the nude look this summer always go one shade darker then you natural lip colour. If you are fair skinned go for a nude with a hint of pink in it.
If you are a medium tone then go for a lipstick with orange undertones.
With deeper skin tones opt for chocolate browns or rosy browns with a hint of shimmer. Caramel browns can counteract redness making them look more nude.
How to find the perfect red lipstick for you….
Find the best red for your skin type, if you are fair shaded go with a blue based red lipstick. If you have an olive completion go for an orangey type of red lipstick. If you are darker skinned then go for more of a berry red.
To get a perfect cupids bow draw an X at the centre of your upper lip, then fully line and fill in your lips with the rest of the matching colour lipstick, this way when it starts to wear off you will not be left with the feel tale ring around your mouth!
How to make your lipstick pop! Simply line the outside of your lips with cover up and a concelaer brush, your lips with then look sharp!
Store your lipsticks in pill pots when traveling abroad to save having to take lots lipsticks with you, then when you return home simply melt them back in place!!!

Store your lipstick in the fridge when it is warm to keep it from melting.
To make your lips appear larger apply one shade of lipstick over your entire lips, then a shade from the same make and style of lipstick that is a much lighter shade to the centre of your lips.
You can remove lipstick stains from fabric simply by spraying it with hairspray, waiting a few minutes and dabbing off with cool water, then put in the wash as normal.
Use your fingers after applying lipliner to blur the edges making a more subtle look, not too harsh.
To avoid feathering of your lipstick, simply use a clear/fair primer on your lips first.
